Staff Profile
My Name is Rebecca, but everybody calls me Bea. I live in Haverhill and am married to Neal, a local photographer. We have three beautiful children, William 12, Alice 10 and Holly 7.
It was when Holly came to Sandcastles at the age of three that I thought I might like to work within early years.
I had always helped out at the playgroup that William and Alice had attended and was on their committee, but had assumed that I would return to my previous career in laboratory work. Motherhood, however, doesn’t seem to work that way!
I have always really enjoyed spending time with children and as my own children were growing and moving on to school I found myself helping at sandcastles regularly and was delighted when Janette offered me a job.
I now feel lucky to be part of the wonderful team that cared so well for my Holly!
I firmly believe that all the children that come to playgroup deserve to be cared for as we would want our own children cared for, in a welcoming, caring and happy environment where they can learn as they play. I was extremely happy with the way my children were cared for at Sandcastles and feel it is a privilege to be able to help other children taking their first steps in becoming independent, confident children ready to take on the demands of future school life.
